Shifting Form & Spectrum

Inspired by Renie Masters, this piece consists of 5 sculptures made out of MDF board, painted with a monochrome design. Both positive and negative shapes cut from the board are positioned around the room. Cut out shapes from different colours of acetate are stuck onto the windows.

With the movement of the sun throughout the day, it manipulates colourful projections through the windows onto sculptures. People are encouraged to walk around the sculptures and become part of the work and colourful projections too.

If you spend a long time sat in the room you are able to see the suns movement throughout the day. It is most interesting when it goes between the clouds as you don't know when it will come back. You are able to witness how this changed the direction of the coloured projections and increased/decreased their intensity.

Viewers are encourage to walk amongst the boards and make themselves part of the work by seeing how the suns projections reacted with them as another object.
